Old, Unexpected Things... and Garbage

I was given the task of looking for the Diwali lights today. It was a task that was supposed to be simple, but as happens in most homes, things get shifted from one place to another and I found other things instead. Our Diwali lights are usually stored along with the other things in our house that don't get much use. This means that they were supposed to be in a cupboard in the spare bedroom. What Do I Write?

Nothing much interesting happens around me. And I don't see the point in writing about the rote routine of daily life, when there is really nothing much to report. I've started trying to learn Spanish, and the language is beautiful. It's sort of like my mother tongue in a way. Each letter that is written is said in a vibrant, colorful way. I've tried learning French in the past, and while there is an air of cosmopolitan elegance of the language, it's full of words with redundant letters. Water is spelled 'eau', which is the same as the letter 'o'. Such a convoluted route for just one syllable.  Back to the point, I am learning Spanish. It might never serve any purpose in my life, but I'll at least be able to understand Enrique Iglesias.
